Currently, we're on the lookout for a Senior Medical Writer - Publications to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality medical writing and communication materials across diverse projects and therapy domains. In this role, you'll serve as a crucial liaison, engaging with external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure seamless execution within scope, timeline, and budget. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting and delivering scientific content that not only meets but exceeds client expectations, adhering to quality and compliance standards.
  • Steering the selection of messaging, style, and language to resonate with the intended audience.
  • Fine-tuning materials as necessary and adapting writing styles to suit varied contexts and audiences.
  • Providing strategic content guidance to clients from the proposal stage onwards, taking the lead on at least one account or therapy area.
  • Managing individual projects with finesse, fostering collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-compliant deliverables.
  • Conducting comprehensive literature research, with a keen eye on peer-reviewed sources, to bolster the credibility of our materials.
  • Mentoring and nurturing the development of fellow writers through constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Offering direction to freelancers as needed and actively contributing to client pitch presentations and proposal development.

Requirements:

  • Able to start working full time within 3 weeks of receiving an offer.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the life sciences with the ability to utilize this knowledge across different therapeutic areas.
  • A Masters or higher in Life Sciences is required. (MSc., PhD., PharmD, etc.)
  • Prior experience in medical communications or the pharmaceutical industry, coupled with a knack for drafting materials across various therapy areas.
  • A solid grasp of pharmaceutical marketing principles and familiarity with industry best practices and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and a sound understanding of editorial and digital processes.
  • Familiarity with key industry standards such as the ICMJE recommendations and ABPI code of practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with effective time management and project management abilities.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, with impeccable spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Personal attributes including a proactive mindset, client focus, and a collaborative spirit.
